Navy Blue Boot Stripe Gel Coat

I have a 1979 42' GB classic with a Navy Blue Boot stripe. Anyone know the closest match to a Navy Blue Gelcoat on the market today ?
Half of my boot stripe is in good condition, the other half needs to be "fixed" and I'm NOT interested in painting it on.
Anyone have this done recently?

Any idea what this is or function it may have performed?

I'm cleaning and taking care of some wiring maintenance items under the upper helm. Bayswater is a 1979 GB Classic that has wiring and accessories added too and added too over the years. Sometimes professionally, other times not so much :| I came across a small panel attached to the inside bulkhead ...

Re: 42 GB Classic - Fresh Water Tank removal

J.J.Jones - My tanks are located in the rear lazarette. The tanks have been repaired in the past with what looks to be 5200, leaking in the corners, not getting any better ... Tom H _ thank you for the pictures ! Awesome Idea. I guess I will remove the cribbing and see if I can't squeeze them out of...

42 GB Classic - Fresh Water Tank removal

I have a 1979 GB classic with 2 fresh water tanks in the laz. They appear to be original with round faucet type values. Can they be removed without cutting up the deck? I measured the tanks and and it appears they can come out thru the hatch doors but it's very very very tight. Has anyone pulled the...

I have a 1979 Classic with Original Stewart Warner Tacks both Port and Starboard. The Starboard upper helm Tack only barely registered last year but the lower helm worked fine until this past weekend. Now both Starboard Tacks have no readings - needles sit at 0. Is there something I can look for to ...

Salon Doors on 42' Classic

I have a 1979 42' Classic (#634) and both my salon doors are delaminating at the bottom of the lock set. I saw your post on water proofing the mortise , but the bottom of one door needs more repair (some rot). Have you ever disassembled a door? Is the inside of the door skin a veneer? I can see the ...

Too big for binoculars ... and too big for a soda bottle ... the holes are 5" across.
Hummmm. What came out in 1979-1980 that would be needed on the bridge in the Port corner - away from the helm?

interesting ... I thought the groves was where the Kerf was inserted ....the drip edge is cleaver. I saw one post with an aluminium frame in there (the boat was newer than mine) ... thought maybe mine was missing... So what you are telling me is the original design just had weather strip to seal the...
