Re: Food for thought

If your stats are correct, I still don't see why you are so frightened that you feel the need to keep a lethal weapon, after all, your stats indicate very few "bad guys" are killing people. Do you really think you will some day have to form an armed unit to overthrow the government, as it ...

Re: Freezer drain in EB47?

My freezer on our 42 Europa drains into the drain pipe for the galley sink. Perhaps the connection between the two is blocked.

Re: GB 32 fuel capacity

Hi, on our 42 Europa our tanks hold 10 gallons U S per inch on our sight tubes. So your measurements sound about right.

Fuse holder on transom of my 1998 42 Europa

In trying to examine the fuse holder next to the a/c outlet just below the cap rail on the inside side of my transom I discovered that it was held in with machine screws. As I unscrewed them the nuts fell down into an area that seems to unacceptable. Both the fuse holder and the shore power outlet a...

Re: New problem for me - fuel tanks

My 25kg Vulcan fits and launches well on my 42 Europa. Holding power seems to be good as well.

Re: Aft Deck Mystery

I had this fitting on both my 36 and 42 . No reason to undo any screws. On both boats the center of this white plastic plate would pop off with a screw driver and the emergency tiller would go through the hole and fit right on the top of the rudder post.

Running cats at the dock

Some times over the winter I may not take my boat out for 2 or 3 months (Dec to Jan). People have told me told me to start the engines at the dock every 3 weeks or so to splash the oil around and rotate the raw water impellers. Others have said this is a bad practice. Any comments?

Racor Vacuum Gauge

I have recently installed Racor RH 11-1669 Vacuum gauges on top of my racor 900 filters. The gauge has a blue or green button on the top of it. Does anybody know what the purpose of this would be.
