Re: Scuppers

Don’t have answers for you but Following your progress. Interested to know details. How many hours thus far? Have you checked for rotted core? Pictures? Do you feel that the deck has enough strength without adding glass? That would resolve your scupper issue.

Re: Batteries

Sounds like they are overcharging and therefore “boiling “ the water out. Get the charger checked out.

Re: Replacement of wiper blades for 1990 GB36 CL

I have not tried these but I picked this info up off of one of these forums for when I get around to it.

Bosch BD 721011-15
NAPA 16" Blade (NAPA 60-1650)
ANCO 44-02
TRICO 61-160
To replace the arm between the wiper motor shaft and blade try this:
AFI-Marinco 33010A

Good luck.

Bob
What are you using for bedding? I used TDS on 1 length and realize now that might not have been the best option if it has to be removed.

Re: Bent Swimplatform Boarding Ladder

That’s a shame. Post a wanted add in the classifieds. Somebody must be parting out.
I might remove and try to straighten. A good welder could probably replace any needed parts. Boat builders have fabricators that custom build this stuff.

Re: Interior water condensation or leak?

I would bet that you have a leak there. The water can take time to slowly soak through the core of the deck. What is above the area (outside on the outside) above the leak? Another picture would help.

Re: Transmission cable? or Bigger Problem!

To start, Disconnect cable at suspect gear. Shift in and out of gear from down below directly at gear. See if you get same results. This will confirm or eliminate the cable.

Couldn’t agree more. I would consider them a necessity for emergency use. I’ll have to look further. Thanks.

Re: Ammarine 6404 raw water pump

Maybe the thru hull could use a forward facing scoop? Is there a vacuum setting up while under way?

Re: Ammarine 6404 raw water pump

I don’t know anything about your particular pump. However if you are chewing up impellers you might want to be sure you have adequate water flow to the impeller. Clogged through hull or collapsed hose could be a culprit. Some hoses will collapse internally with very little visible evidence from the ...
