Re: Need a 1977 era GB part

Barry used to have a website (or blog?). I think it was Outback Foundry.
I can't seem to find it anymore. He made bronze gate latch parts for my boat

Re: app recommendations

For those without cellular/GPS capability on their iPads there is a device that will provide that by plugging a receiver into the charging port.

I’ve never needed it but seems like a good idea.

Re: Window bedding?

I'm in the end stages of replacing all the sliding windows and tracks on my 1974 Grand Banks 32. My research has led me to BoatLIFE polysulfide calk for the windows. It provides a waterproof seal but is removable for future service. It's applied by gun from a 10oz tube like silicone. I used Dolfinit...

Re: Parting out 32 classic woody

I realize this is an old thread but I thought I would give it a shot-
I’m looking for the anti rattle/window thumbscrew locks that secure the sliding windows. Can find them locally.

Window Anti-rattle latch

I’m converting the forward port side window to a slider on my 1974 32 GB.
I would like to match the existing window latches. Has anyone got one or know where to find them?
Sea dog has a similar item but not quite what I’m looking for.
Thanks.

Re: Removing flying bridge teak toe rails

Can you get under it with a flat blade on a multi tool?
That worked well for me while I was removing my exterior window trim. The oscillations melted the adhesive without cutting anything.

Re: electric stove replacement

Dave,

Would the original happen to be a Shipmate propane combo?
I have a 1974 32’ with the original 4 burner stove. Replacing it is low on my list for a while and I’m in need of some parts.

Re: Replacing wood window frames

I will be replacing the windows slides, edge channel and the 'anti-rattle window stop'.
My searches have produced window slides by Stanpro and CRL. Not sure which ones I'll be using yet.
Seadog carries the window stop.

Replacing wood window frames

One of the projects that I’m working on this winter is removing and replacing the sliding windows on my ‘74 32. I’ve got one of them out and I’m working at removing the rest. I can tell that this is the second time for this boat- the frames are sealed with a white silicone-like caulk and the screw h...

Re: Second alternator mounting

Nobby, Well, the pulley has to come off anyway so I'll continue with that. Motor is in the boat so I'll be going with the old school method to remove the bolt. I have the starter out already. A prybar, a 3/4 breaker bar and a length of fence pipe should do the trick! I would be interested in your re...

I have thank-yous and apologies for your responses: When I originally posted this I put posted in two locations on the forum. Once under this heading (Specifications) and once under Photos. I didn't know how to retract the duplicate. So...Jim, I do have your excellent pictures from the other thread....

Re: Second alternator mount

My big concern (challenge) is to provide enough juice to occasionally run a small AC to cool the v-berth and then be able to recharge efficiently.

Jim,
Thank-you for the reply.
I did a search, as you suggested, and found a picture posted by another member.
Question- any issues with belt alignment?
Thanks
