Re: Source for rollers on salon door bottom

There is or was a fellow in the Seattle area who makes them to order. Does anyone on the forum remember who this fellow is?

Re: Original engine room lights for 2003 42 Europa

I have those in my 2000 42 Europa and retrofitted them to use LED's. Then I got some LED strip lighting and just ran wires to the fixtures you show in the picture. I am really pleased with the result.

Re: GB 42 Europa single engine 03 purchase help

Hello Johann, I have a 2000 model year G.B. Europa with a single turbo Deere with 300 hp. This is my third G.B. with a single engine, the first being a 32 and the second being a 36 Sedan with a single CAT 3208NA. I love it and as Mr. Frugalwife has said, the single engine is easy to get used to with...

Re: Unequal fuel tank flows

Hi Chris, I have a 2000 42 Europa with a single engine. Periodically I experience a similar issue wherein my starboard fuel tank gets more return fuel than my port tank. It usually happens during following sea conditions. I shut the starboard return valve for a couple of hours and the tanks equalize...

Re: Line cutter on drive shaft

We use SPURS. Last fall I sent the whole unit to SPURS for a rebuild which they did and I had it back in less than 2 weeks. They work.

Damn few. It is so smooth we hear virtually nothing in the enclosed flybridge and very little in the salon. it cruises at 9.2 Kn and burns less than 5 GPH. You can feel the engine vibrate at the mount and none at the stringer an inch away. The original owner spec'd the boat with this arrangement the...

Try a hydraulic supply place. They usually have a large supply of O rings.

I started out with a 1971 G B 32 (wood) with a single Lehman, then graduated to a 36 Sedan (glass) with a single CAT 3208 210 HP plant. Both boats were easy to handle and maneuver in all but the worst conditions. I now own a 2000 42 Europa with a single Deere 300 HP and a bow thruster. This boat has...

Angel Island is one of our favorite moorings in the S.F. Bay.
Another great spot is Paradise Cove, although this is an anchorage, but well protected from north and west winds.

Our boat lives in San Rafael. We use it in the Delta quite a lot and it gets hot in the summer up there. Last winter my wife and I installed an A/C unit in our 42 Europa ourselves. We did all the work. It wasn't too hard and was very interesting. As with Mike Massingil, ours in located under the sal...

Gee Tom, that doesn't sound too bad, and we all know your boat and boating skills are up to the challenge. We've been here in the wine country burning up. It was bloody awful but the fires didn't get too close to our place. Friends, associates and family have been displaced, some temporarily, some p...

My Webasto runs and stops depending upon the coolness of the air and the demand for heat. I have no soot problem. I have been running this unit for 5 years now with zero problems. We do leave it running when we go out, but we do not leave it on for days at a time if we aren't aboard, BUT we live in ...

The Thermotop C has 17000 BTU output. I have a Webasto 2010 which puts out 45000 BTU and my Europa has less interior space than your Motoryacht. There are some mornings I wish I had a bigger unit. Please talk to some of the locals in your area and find out what they use. I live in the San Francisco ...
