Fuel Tank Baffle Placement

Postby jchrissharpe » Thu Jan 24, 2019 8:04 pm

All,

Curious if anyone has the internal design of the GB42 CL fuel tanks. Specifically, if one wanted to install inspection ports in the original tanks, where would one place the ports so each baffled section would have access?

It would seem that this may be an interim solution and allow proper cleaning and repair of the tank bottom. What say you?

C.

I have an 82 GB MY, I have inspection ports inboard and about centered. I have looked in the tanks and as far as I can tell there is a baffle that runs fore to aft centered. And two that run inboard to outboard separating the tank in thirds.

Photo captured during tank replacement. Notice vertical baffles in starboard 300-gallon tank.
