Replacing domestic fresh water pump

Postby dstong » Sun Sep 30, 2018 11:15 pm

Replacing my Shurflo 5.0 GPM 60 PSI fresh water pump that has worked well for years, but broke this weekend - not working consistently, overheating (super hot to touch). Time for a new one...

So, what is normal/acceptable for my 1985 GB Motoryacht? 5.0 GPM, 60 PSI? Can I move up to 6.0 GPM, remain at 60 PSI? More GPM is better, right?

Not much experience here and would appreciate any thoughts/advice.

Thanks!
