Step Plates

Nothing new here BUT...

Hi Folks, my wife and I have just acquired a 1977 GB42' Classic over here in the Netherlands. She's a beauty and well looked after over the years.
So what's the problem? All 3 bronze Step plates are gone. Some state side firms can produce new ones however they charge a fortune and when the shipping to Europe is added, it all goes way beyond my prepared budget.
Anybody got any idea how to tackle this. Maybe some stuff from an old discarded 'Woodie'?

Love to hear from you, Best regards, Jos

We had a bunch of step plates with the name GRAND BANKS including a curved one for the transom rail, made a few years back.

If there is enough interest, perhaps we could do it again.
Good luck,
Bob Lowe
