North To Alaska - Sundog

Postby sundog » Sat Mar 26, 2011 10:12 am

Good morning,

I just wanted to thank everyone on the forum for the wealth of knowledge that has been shared over the years. I have spent many hours this winter trying to learn what I need to be prepared to bring our boat from Anacortes to Alaska this summer and this site and the information shared by it's members is invaluable - THANKS!!!

I wrote up a little story about our trip and posted it to my website - if you find yourself with to much time on your hands here is a link http://sundogmedia.com/an-adventure-to-live/

We will be in the harbor in Anacortes for 3-4 weeks starting mid April and I look forward to meeting some of you fine folks in person. We hope to have the boat ready for the trip to our home port of Whittier AK and be heading up by the middle of May.

Thanks again for this wonderful resource.

Cheers from the Sundog Crew

Joe

Joe,

If you're still in Anacortes around May 13-15, stop in at TrawlerFest and say hello before you head north. We'll have a couple of boats there, though not sure at this point which ones.

If not, safe voyage!

Sounds like good options - we are leaning towards staying another week in the area to visit family so I am hoping we can make one of these work. Thanks again for the heads up.

Cheers,

Joe

In our neck of the woods: Conover Cove, Jedediah Island, Roscoe Bay, Shoal Bay, 4 of my favourites.
