Suisun Slough

Suisun Slough

Postby K Dowling » Sun May 15, 2011 8:33 pm

The Suisun Slough runs through a large wetland between San Francisco and Sacramento. It's a pretty easy trip with just a few thin spots to avoid. The payoff is great scenery with abundant wild life. We had overcast weather on Saturday with no rain. For the ride home we had bright sunshine, hail, rain, and unrelenting wind. All well worth the while. Posted from the Corinthian Yacht Club guest dock, looking back at San Francisco.

I lived in Benicia during the 80s and seeing your photos made me homesick. I now spend my time cruising the Chesapeake Bay but its not the same.
