You know... Curiosity killed the cat. Kidding
The generator has been pulled, and was the last piece of original equipment on board. I'm quickly moving into the future with alternate forms of generation and storage. Currently I have 1200 watts of solar, feeding 10 FireFly's, with plans to place 10 24V Battleborn's in the generators place. It WAS a great generator, but since I only used it 2 hours last summer while cruising 2 months, it made little sense. Of course I did add a small Honda 2200 for backup, but it won't get much use either. The solar can run my RO 1 liter per min using DC 1 HP motor drawing 65 amps, which is about the max of my solar output. My boiler heats my water, and any extra watts from solar is dumped into the water, 25 gallon tank. When the Battleborns go in, they will then be the solar dump at 24V, which is then DC DC converted 24v-12v to essentially trickle the 12 volt system.
